- Jaramogi Oginga Odinga (1964–1966) – He served as the first Vice President of Kenya under President Jomo Kenyatta.
- Joseph Murumbi (1966–1967) – He succeeded Oginga Odinga but resigned due to personal reasons.
- Daniel arap Moi (1967–1978) – Moi served as Vice President under President Jomo Kenyatta before becoming the President upon Kenyatta’s death in 1978.
- Mwai Kibaki (1978–1988) – He served as Vice President under President Daniel arap Moi before later becoming the President of Kenya himself.
- George Saitoti (1988–2002) – Saitoti served as Vice President under President Daniel arap Moi.
- Musalia Mudavadi (2002–2003) – He served as Vice President under President Daniel arap Moi for a brief period before the end of Moi’s presidency.
- Moody Awori (2003–2008) – He served as Vice President under President Mwai Kibaki.

As at 2013 after the new constitution was inagulated in 2010, the name vice president was replaced by Deputy President and therefore, these are some of the deputy presidents to the current one:

- Rigathi Gachagua(2022-Present) – He has been serving as the Deputy President of Kenya under President William Ruto.
